Our consortium brings together clinical and scientific expertise, companies and lobbyists from all relevant areas of the offshore rescue chain. In addition to our many years of practical experience in offshore rescue and telemedicine, our strengths include the integration of network operators, service providers, aviation companies, medical professionals and professional associations, as well as our profound scientific expertise in healthcare research.

University of Oldenburg

Carl von Ossietzky University was founded in 1973, making it one of Germany’s younger universities. Its goal is to find answers to the big questions facing society in the 21st century through cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and teaching. Researchers and administrative staff work hand in hand across disciplines. Many are involved in research – for example, in collaborative research centres, research groups, European projects or the Cluster of Excellence. The university works closely with more than 200 universities worldwide. It also has links with non-university institutions in research, education, culture and business. The research location is further strengthened by the establishment of the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity, a Max Planck Research Group and three Fraunhofer working groups. There is also a Virtual Helmholtz Institute. The university prepares around 16,000 students for professional life. The spectrum ranges from the humanities and cultural sciences to economics, law and social sciences to mathematics, computer science, the natural sciences and medicine.


Klinikum Oldenburg (Project Coordinator)

The Universy Clinic for Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Pain Therapy (AINS) atOldenburg Hospital, headed by Prof. Simon T. Schäfer, is a leading centre for perioperative care, emergency and intensive care, and pain therapy. With over 95 doctors and around 170 nursing and non-medical staff, it covers the entire spectrum of these four specialist areas. It has state-of-the-art equipment, operates two intensive care units plus an IMC unit with around 42 ventilation beds, and offers services such as post-operative and chronic pain therapy, emergency care and telemedicine.


OFFIS (Project Coordinator)

OFFIS is an internationally oriented research and development institute for selected computer technologies and practice-oriented IT research areas, founded in 1991. With an average of 70 ongoing research and development projects, OFFIS and its approximately 300 employees conduct research and prototype development work at the highest international level in the fields of energy, health, production and transport.


Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Anästhesiologie und Intensivmedizin e.V. (DGAI)

The German Society for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (DGAI) brings together around 15,000 doctors, healthcare professionals and scientists working in the five specialist areas of anaesthesiology, anaesthesia, intensive care medicine, emergency medicine, pain medicine and palliative medicine. Through research, teaching and their daily work, they are committed to the continuous advancement of anaesthesiology with the aim of providing the best possible patient care and safety. 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.


Deutsche Gesellschaft für Telemedizin e. V.

The German Society for Telemedicine (DGTelemed) serves as a forum for communication, discussion and advocacy in telemedicine in Germany and Europe. Patient orientation and optimisation of cooperation between service providers, healthcare and medical technology companies, associations and societies are part of the basic understanding of its activities. Through its network of diverse stakeholders, DGTelemed is committed to providing optimal, digitally supported healthcare. It uses its expertise to raise awareness of the many possibilities offered by telemedicine in healthcare, business, science and politics. Among other things, it offers expert advice on all topics related to telemedicine (e.g. telemedical networking, telemonitoring). Another important component of DGTelemed’s activities is comprehensive press and public relations work. This includes the conception and implementation of various specialist events (e.g. the National Telemedicine Congress and the Hospital of the Future at MEDICA), which are used as a platform for exchange on telemedicine topics.


Helicopter Travel Munich (HTM)

HTM was founded in 1997 based on the conviction that helicopter missions should be carried out faster and more efficiently — while maintaining consistently high quality. Soon after the start of the rescue helicopter operation, Intercopter was founded as a maintenance company in 2003. In 2018, the development and certification operations of aircraft and components were added with the establishment of AAD (Part 21J Development Company) A year later, Intercopter then received further approval as a manufacturing facility. Maintaining high quality standards has top priority for us. To do this, we use the most modern helicopters and the latest technology. Aviation experts contribute many years of experience. In this way we cover our four key industries. Today, the HTM Group is one of the leading helicopter companies in Germany.
HTM’s sites are distributed from Austria via Munich all the way up to the northern German coastal area and in France. This means that we can be reached by our customers throughout Germany and France in the best possible way. The fleet comprises H145, EC135 and H125 helicopters. The operations are approved by EASA for SPA.HOFO, SPA.HHO, SPO HESLO, SPA HEMS, SPA Dangerous Goods transport. Our ATO (Approved training organization) is capable to support all trainings from pedestrian till professional commercial pilot. The training facilities are all approved by EASA and involve the use of our own Flight simulator.


Medical Offshore Support GmbH & Co. KG

Medical Offshore Support organises medical and rescue services in the offshore sector and provides the necessary personnel and equipment. It also offers environment-specific medical training and further education. Especially in the offshore sector, where serious accidents are fortunately very rare, regular training with the available equipment is nevertheless essential. Together with its partners at Medical Offshore Support GmbH & Co. KG, rescue concepts are developed and evaluated, and HSEQ tasks are undertaken.


Nordzee Helikopters Vlaanderen (NHV)

NHV has a geographic footprint across Europe and Western Africa. We stand at the forefront of specialised rotary and 3rd party solutions. Operating from multiple bases on two continents, our professional team is committed to excellence. NHV’s primary focus is to service the energy-producing industry, with a particular emphasis on the dynamic Renewables sector. Complementing our core services are Maritime Solutions, including precision-focused Harbour Pilot Services.
NHV also extends its capabilities beyond traditional helicopter operations. As an accredited training organisation (Part 147 and ATO), we foster the development of aviation training and expertise. Additionally, our commitment to service excellence is evident not only in supporting our own fleet but also through the provision of third-party maintenance services to a diverse clientele, spanning civil and military sectors. This comprehensive suite of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions sets industry benchmarks.

WAB e.V. (WAB)

WAB was founded in 2002 and comprises around 220 small and large companies and institutes from all areas of the wind industry, the maritime economy and research. The WAB e.V. supports the realisation of growing, complete and cost-efficient value chains in the offshore wind industry and the onshore wind industry. WAB is committed to the emerging market for ‘green’ hydrogen in Germany and other regions. As the voice of the value chain, the Wind Industry and Hydrogen Association WAB e.V. supports expansion targets that will enable us to quickly achieve climate neutrality with green energy from electrons and molecules. Through our members, we represent around 160,000 experts.


WindEnergy Network e.V. (WEN)

WindEnergy Network e.V. is the leading business network for wind energy in the north-east region, currently with 100 member companies. The network has been active since 2002 and serves as a platform for the entire value chain of the industry. Its focus is on active networking between companies, pooling information, representing interests at state and federal level to further develop the framework conditions for the energy transition, and presenting the network at trade fairs and events to strengthen its members. The aim is to promote the expansion of companies and supply chains in the north-east region in order to increase regional value creation in the future-oriented renewable energy sector.
