We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data is protected in accordance with legal regulations. Personal data is only collected on our website to the extent necessary. Under no circumstances will the data collected be sold or passed on to third parties for other reasons.
Person in charge
The controller responsible for the data processing described here is OFFIS e.V., Escherweg 2, 26121 Oldenburg.
Collection and processing of data
Every access to one of our Internet pages and every retrieval of a file stored on the Internet pages is logged by standard web server log files. The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. Among other things, the following is logged:
- which file was requested,
- name of the file,
- date and time of the request,
- amount of data transferred,
- access status (file not found, file transferred, etc.),
- the type of web browser used, and
- IP address of the website visitor.
All of this data is stored and evaluated exclusively in anonymised form. For this purpose, the IP address of the system from which the website or file was requested is anonymised in an appropriate manner. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). It is therefore not possible to draw conclusions about a specific person, nor is the data merged with other data.
Cookies
We use cookies on our website that are necessary for the use of our website.
Cookies are small text files that can be stored and read on your device. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session.
We do not use these necessary cookies for analysis, tracking or advertising purposes.
In some cases, these cookies only contain information about certain settings and are not personally identifiable. They may also be necessary to enable user guidance, security and implementation of the website.
We use these cookies on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR and in the interest of optimising or enabling user guidance and adapting the presentation of our website.
You can set your browser to notify you when cookies are placed. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time via the corresponding browser setting and prevent new cookies from being set. Please note that our websites may then not be displayed and some functions may no longer be available for technical reasons.
Data Protection
We take technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access as comprehensively as possible. We use an encryption method on our pages. Your details are transferred from your computer to our server and vice versa via the Internet using TLS encryption. You can recognise this by the closed padlock symbol in your browser’s status bar and the address line beginning with https://.
Please note that outside the aforementioned framework conditions, in particular when communicating by e-mail, we cannot guarantee complete data security.
Use of data
We adhere to the principle of purpose-specific data use and collect, process and store your personal data only for the purposes for which you have provided it to us and for technical administration. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, unless this is necessary for the provision of the service or for the execution of the contract. Data will also only be transferred to state institutions and authorities entitled to receive information within the framework of legal disclosure obligations or if we are obliged to disclose information by court order.
Deletion of data
Stored personal data will be deleted if you revoke your consent to storage, if knowledge of this data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or if further storage is not permitted for other legal reasons.
Rights of the Data Subject
Data subjects have the right to obtain information from the responsible party regarding their personal data, and they have to right to rectification of inaccurate data, or to data erasure if one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. the data is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. In addition, data subjects have the right to have the processing restricted under the conditions stated in Art. 18 GDPR, or, in cases according to Art. 20 GDPR, they have the right to data portability. If data is collected based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e (data processing in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority) or based on lit. f (Data Processing in pursuance of legitimate interests), the data subject has the right to object to the data processing on ground of his or her particular situation. We will then no longer process your personal data, unless compelling legitimate grounds for the processing override the data subject’s interests, rights and freedom, or the processing serves the exertion or defense of legal claims.
Every data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a Data Protection Authority if the person feels that the processing of his or her personal data is incompliant with data protection regulations. The right to lodge a complaint may in particular be exercised with a supervisory authority of the member state in which the data subject is located or where the alleged incident has occurred. In Lower Saxony, the competent supervisory authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony, Barbara Thiel, P.O. Box 2 21, 30002 Hanover, Germany.
